Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility – El Segundo
This free field trip experience is available to public and private schools located in the West Basin service area. Students will virtually visit the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in El Segundo and the Roundhouse Aquarium in Manhattan Beach where they learn about the water cycle, West Basin’s state-of-the-art water recycling process and water conservation efforts that protect local marine animals. Students will be immersed in live interaction with a West Basin tour guide as they are virtually brought behind the scenes to a world-renowned water recycling facility.

Schools Eligible for Free Water Recycling Facility Field Trips
To support an extensive water education program, West Basin is offering a free curriculum for 3rd-5th grade teachers to support classroom engagement before and after your water recycling facility tour. Lesson plans are intended to be hands-on, can be adapted to support any grade level, and supports the state’s current Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
